Swedish broadcaster SVT has just revealed the thirty participants that will compete in Melodifestivalen 2026. The winner will represent Sweden at Eurovision 2026 in Vienna, Austria. There is a total of five heats with six artists competing in each one.

Some notable names include Melodifestivalen winners Sanna Nielsen (“Undo” – 2014) & Robin Bengtsson (“I Can’t go On” – 2017).
Among the line up are a couple of fan favourites from previous editions of Melodifestivalen. This includes Arwin, Grezula, Medina, Meira Omar and Smash into Pieces. FELICIA also competed in the 2024 edition but performed as FRÖKEN SNUSK and has recently rebranded as FELICIA.
A name that is also creating excitement within the Eurovision community is AleXa. AleXa is known for winning the first edition of American Song Contest in 2022 with her song “Wonderland”.
The final of Melodifestivalen 2026 will take place at the Strawberry Arena in Stockholm on Saturday March 7th. There will be 12 acts in the grand final, the winner will be decided by a combination of jury and televote.
Last year, Sweden was represented by KAJ with their song “Bara Bada Bastu”. They placed 4th in the grand final with a total of 321 points.
